During the tour, the guests were introduced to the exposition of the Information Center of Belarusian NPP, visited the demonstration building of the Training Center, where they met with the Deputy Chief Engineer for Electrical Engineering Mikhail Shevaldin, who accompanied them along the entire route.
During the visit to the training center, the participants were given an idea of personnel training using a full-scale simulator of a power unit control panel.
Then there was a visit to the 330 kV switchgear building, where the head of the switchgear repair section of the electrical workshop Alexander Martysevich spoke about the key aspects of the operation of the electrical equipment of the complete switchgear and the features of using sulfur hexafluoride, and Mikhail Shevaldin noted that it was the specialists of “Belenergostetproekt” who developed the power distribution scheme and one of its key elements, the 330 kV switchgear, for Belarusian NPP.
At the NPP site, our guests assessed the scale of the objects included in the Book of Records of the Republic of Belarus "The highest industrial structures for cooling circulating water in the Republic of Belarus" - chimney evaporative cooling towers, each 167 meters high, and in the machine room of the turbine building - steam turbines of the power units of the nuclear power plant, with an energy capacity of 1200 MW - "Steam turbines with the highest unit capacity installed in the Republic of Belarus". There, the Head of the Turbine Workhop Andrei Lazovsky spoke about the main equipment of the nuclear power plant and the design features of the turbo units of Belarusian NPP with a total shaft length of more than 70 m.
Following the event, Deputy Head of the PED, RUP “Belenergosetproekt” Aleksandr Kuksov shared his impressions of the meeting: “This was our best familiarization and educational trip during my entire time working at Belenergosetproekt.
