Despite the evening time after the end of the working day, the assembly hall of the information center was filled to the brim. And not only with young people, who work at Belarusian NPP for almost a third of the total number of the entire workforce, but also with representatives of the enterprise management, as well as heads of some structural divisions.
It is important for the head of Belarusian NPP to understand the concerns and aspirations of the younger generation, their aspirations, hobbies, and plans. In turn, it is important for young people to receive information in personal informal communication with the CEO. Therefore, meetings with the director are regular and of great interest. And the topic brought up for discussion at the dialogue platform was quite relevant: "Youth of the enterprise: opportunities and prospects."
Opening the event, Sergey Bobovich outlined the main issues for discussion: the upcoming celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, cooperation between the youth of Belarusian NPP and the youth of the State Corporation Rosatom and WANO “NPP”, scientific activities of young workers, the role of the personnel management department in ensuring the career movement of young people, currently the only one in the energy system of the Republic of Belarus, participation of young people in cooperation programs between Belarusian NPP and the country's universities that provide training for nuclear energy, and much more.
"The level of competence that we have achieved enables us to operate the nuclear power plant safely, reliably and efficiently. But we must not stop. And today I would like to discuss our progress with you," the CEO set the tone for the conversation.
However, the meeting began not with work issues, but with the presentation of the book "Our President". At Belarusian NPP, the publication is currently in a single copy, but interest in it is very high. Therefore, the proposal of the head of the nuclear power plant to pass the book "through the ranks" so that young people have time to at least learn its content, was warmly supported.
The conversation with the CEO took place in a warm, informal atmosphere. All questions on the conditional "agenda" were answered specifically by both the CEO himself and his deputies, as well as the heads of structural divisions who took part in the meeting.
The “questions from the audience” that were received both the day before and during the dialogue platform were also discussed: obtaining additional higher education, creating an intellectual games club, studying English, and even the literature that young people prefer.
Even issues that are not within the company's competence were not ignored. For example, the improvement of some streets in Ostrovets city. Nevertheless, the deputy of Ostrovets District Council of Deputies, Deputy General Director for Quality Alexander Erin promised to inform the city's public utilities about the problem and give an answer to the youth in due course.
Immediately after the event, the discussion continued "behind the scenes". Young people exchanged opinions for a long time, shared plans, made proposals, and looked for solutions.
And this is perhaps the main evidence that the dialogue platform has fulfilled its role.
