Cooperation is carried out within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Department for Nuclear and Radiation Safety of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus and the Nuclear Regulatory Agency of the Republic of Turkey on cooperation and information exchange in the field of nuclear safety and radiation protection.
During the visit, NDK specialists got acquainted with the current status of Units 1 and 2 of Belarusian NPP, the process of the NPP licensing by regulatory authorities, the work of the personnel of the block control panel, the personnel training system of Belarusian NPP, equipment of the educational and material base.
Summing up the results of the visit to Belarusian NPP, NDK Vice President Oguz Kan noted: “It was very useful to see an analogue of the power unit control panel - a full-scale simulator. We have the same in Turkey at the stage of construction of a nuclear power plant. We also saw a job well done by you both at the stage of construction and at the stage of pilot operation.
We got acquainted with the experience of our Belarusian colleagues and will return to Turkey with very good impressions of your station and your work in general”.
