Many have known the fact that the personnel of Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant consists of talented people not only in labor for a long time, and it is difficult to argue with this statement. The countless victories of atomic athletes at competitions of various levels, the participation of amateur artists in numerous regional festivals, clubs, studios and amateur groups are an unconditional confirmation of this. However, while sports fans have long had “documentary” evidence of their level of talent, then, until recently, art lovers have been not so happy. Although, the workers of the enterprise have long known their artists, the musical convoy of the atomic scientists did not move beyond the performances at the Day of the Power Engineer and the regional stage.
Fans of amateur art in the energy sector of Belarus have long become a mass phenomenon. In order to develop creative potential among employees of enterprises subordinate to the Ministry of Energy, at the initiative of the Belarusian Trade Union of Energy, Gas and Fuel Industry Workers, the Republican industry-wide competition of amateur art is held annually. This year the competition was dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders and the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, and its final part was held in Polotsk from October 18 to 20.
The competition was attended by employees of organizations GPO Belenergo, GPO Beltopgaz, GP Belarusian NPP, OAO Gazprom Transgaz Belarus, OAO Gefest. For several days, the most talented employees of energy and gas supply organizations (more than 750 participants) presented their creativity in six categories to the audience and the jury. Among them was the delegation of the state enterprise "Belarusian NPP"
It is pleasant that the artists of the nuclear power plant were not lost in the polyphony of talents and were able to climb the prize stages of the competition: nomination “Vocal - Instrumental Ensemble” 3rd place - vocal and instrumental group “Blues Cafe”, state enterprise “Belarusian NPP”; nomination “Ensembles, orchestras” 3rd place - duo of cymbals, state enterprise “Belarusian NPP”.
