Someone came to Ostrovets to participate in joint projects of the twin cities of Ostrovets, last week - this is a noisy and curious group of students from Russian Desnogorsk. And someone just came to Ostrovets on a visit, or with other family troubles, like the Kononovs family from Sakhalin Island. The family overcame more than 10,000 kilometers in order to worship the mass grave in the village of Gudogai, where a relative of the family, who fell back in 1942 to a group of Soviet prisoner of war soldiers, found the last refuge.
