The head of the department, Olga Lugovskaya noted in her report that in 2017, the Gosatomnadzor fulfilled its functions, including licensing and supervision of activities in the field of the use of nuclear power facilities and ionizing radiation sources (IRS). As of the end of 2017, about 1,450 organizations were under supervision that use about 22,400 IRS.
The most important object of supervision is still Belarusian NPP. In 2017, the mode of permanent supervision at the site of its construction was fully implemented, the Gosatomnadzor noted. 90 audits were carried out, including 2 comprehensive audits and 88 - in permanent supervision mode, as well as 25 audits during the testing and acceptance inspection of equipment for Belarusian NPP at the manufacturing plants in Russia, Germany. At the same time, emphasis was placed on the evaluation of existing quality management systems of organizations that perform work at the construction site of Belarusian NPP, the fulfillment of licensing requirements and conditions.
