Long before the grand opening of the festival, an electric vehicle rally set off from Minsk, the capital of our country, towards Ostrovets, the city of power engineers at Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant.
More than 20 electric vehicle owners, including the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Belarus, Denis Moroz, arrived at Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant along with their family members. The Minister of Energy, the management of the nuclear power plant, and the Belarusian office of JSC “Atomstroyexport” warmly welcomed the guests.
Participants in the motor rally visited the information and training centers of Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant, learned about the history of the construction of the first Belarusian nuclear power plant and personnel training, the implemented safety systems, the current state of the nuclear power plant, and its role in the country's energy system.
Festive events
Festive and educational locations were organized in the city's central square.
Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant exhibit generated enormous interest among festival guests, offering a unique opportunity to learn more about nuclear energy in an accessible and engaging format.
The official mascots of the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant, "Nuklik" and "Atomka," were the main stars and crowd favorites at the site. They were the first to greet guests, spreading smiles, happily posing for commemorative photos, and setting the festive mood for both the youngest and the adults.
At the very center of the exhibition was a high-tech model of Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant.
The company's specialists provided a detailed and visual demonstration of nuclear power plant technology to the festival participants, explaining the safety principles and unique technological solutions of the Generation 3+ project. The model particularly attracted the attention of young people and those interested in modern science and the country's energy independence.
Visitors to the exhibition participated in educational quizzes, where everyone could test their knowledge of physics and energy, as well as themed competitions with memorable souvenirs and gifts from Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant.

Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant congratulated residents and visitors of Ostrovets on Nuclear City Day.
During the ceremonial opening of Atomic City Day, Alexander Erin, Deputy General Director for Quality at Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant and a member of the District Council of Deputies, addressed the participants with a congratulatory speech.
On behalf of the General Director of Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant Sergei Bobovich, the workforce of the nuclear power plant, Alexander Erin congratulated the city residents on the holiday, and also presented a congratulatory address and a letter of gratitude to the Chairman of Ostrovets District Executive Committee Ruslan Zhukovsky and the Chairman of the District Council of Deputies Gennady Bychko.
"The history of Ostrovets is a remarkable and unique journey of development, from a small town to a city of nuclear scientists, thanks to the strategic decisions of the President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Grigoryevich Lukashenko, to implement the national nuclear energy program," Alexander Erin noted in his address.
