On November 1, 2020, at 12:03:12, the turbine generator of the first power unit of the nuclear power plant was synchronized with Belarusian power system. The country received its first electricity from Belarusian NPP.
This milestone marked a new era in Belarus's energy sector – a transition from traditional energy to high-tech, safe, and environmentally friendly nuclear energy.
Over the five years of its operation, Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant has made a colossal contribution to the country's economy, generating over 53 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity. This not only ensured the reliability and stability of the entire energy system but also became a powerful driver of innovative development, ensuring the satisfaction of the growing demand for electricity by the real economy and the population.
Belarusian NPP will continue to serve the interests of the country, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the most important energy facility of the sovereign and independent Republic of Belarus.
