The delegation to the nuclear power plant included the Chairperson of Belarusian Union of Women Olga Shpilevskaya, the Chairperson of Grodno Regional Organization of the BUW Irina Stepanenko, women leaders of organizations and enterprises, business circles and business communities of Belarus, and women specialists in Russian nuclear industry.
The guests of Belarusian NPP were met and warmly welcomed by Deputy Minister of Energy of the Republic of Belarus Olga Prudnikova. The Deputy Minister informed the participants of the visit about the history of the implementation of the nuclear energy program of Belarus, told about the technical features of the NPP and its integration into the country's economy.
Deputy General Director of the enterprise Boris Paramonov spoke about the current situation at Belarusian NPP.
At the information center of the nuclear power plant, the participants of the visit learned about the principle of obtaining nuclear energy, the safety and efficiency of the NPP. The women were told about this not only by the staff of the information center, but also by professional power engineers with extensive experience: Deputy Head of the NPP Training Center Sergey Kravtsov and Head of the Personnel Training Department of the Belarusian NPP Training Center Sergey Gorin.
The women also visited the nuclear power plant’s training center, where they learned about the attention paid to the recruitment and training of personnel at Belarusian NPP.
During the tour, representatives of Belarusian and Russian women's public associations asked many questions and received comprehensive, competent answers to all of them.
