Future civil engineers visited the demonstration building of the BelNPP training center. As part of the tour, young people learned about the features of the operation of the nuclear power plant, the design of a reactor plant, energy sources for the NPP, and the latest safety systems used at Belarusian nuclear power plant.
However, the main focus of the "target-students" was directed to the layout with the main equipment.
Height and design of the cooling tower? Material of overlappings of turbine and reactor compartments? The strength indicators of the containment metal and many other questions were of interest to young people.
On this day, the interns were lucky to be on a full-scale simulator of the block control panel, where engineers hone their skills to control the reactor and turbine.
Tired but satisfied students went home with a lot of knowledge. But they promised to return to the station already as specialists.
