The arrangement of communication of Belarusian NPP with Stolbtsy substation, in addition to the construction of the power line itself, provided for the reconstruction of the existing 220 kV Stolbtsy substation with a new 330 kV switchgear and the substation being transferred to the rated voltage class of 330 kV. In addition, the scope of the reconstruction includes equipping the substation with two shunt reactors.
Within the implementation of the program for putting into operation Belorussian NPP - Stolbtsy 330 kV overhead line, voltage was first applied to the equipment of the 330 kV switchgear of Stolbtsy substation, to the autotransformer 330/110/10 kV with a capacity of 125 MVA and a shunt reactor of 10 kV with a capacity of 20 MVar. In the future, as part of the implementation of the third stage of reconstruction of Stolbtsy substation, it is planned to install another autotransformer and a shunt reactor, as well as the construction of a 330 kV Baranovichi-Stolbtsy to provide power transit for Belarusian NPP-Stolbtsy-Baranovichi.
