The most complex technological process was launched in December 2019. During the entire period, 242 various tests were carried out, the main purpose of which is to confirm before the physical start-up of the power unit that the nuclear island systems and equipment comply with the design characteristics when operating at nominal parameters, as well as during heating and cooling of the reactor installation.
During the hot run-in, the operating parameters of the four main circulation pumps, control systems and protection of the reactor installation and power supply of own needs, and blowing of the main steam pipelines with their own steam were checked. Tests of the main safety valves of steam generators, pressure compensator, and many other operations have been performed.
All equipment and technological systems of the power unit involved in the test program comply with the design specifications. The next stage, in accordance with the plan for the preparation of power unit No. 1 for a physical start, is an audit of the main and auxiliary equipment of the first and second circuits.
