During the preparation for operation of the first power unit of the station, individual permits were received by managers and responsible officials, whose activities are of key importance from the point of view of ensuring safety. Among them are the chief of the nuclear physics laboratory of the station, shift supervisors, and operational personnel.
Earlier, permits were issued to a number of other officials, including BelNPP Director General Mikhail Filimonov.
To get permission, the candidate needs to pass an assessment of knowledge in the commission of the Ministry for Emergency Situations, as well as tests and examinations, including medical and psychophysiological (stress resistance, teamwork and so on), practical skills testing.
“The issuance of permits by Gosatomnadzor is the result of tremendous work, which allows the regulatory body to make sure that the management of a nuclear power plant is in the reliable hands of competent specialists,” the Ministry of Emergencies emphasized.
