The members of the commission on ecology, environmental management and the Chernobyl disaster and the commission on industry, fuel and energy complex, transport and communications visited the information center of Belarusian NPP, the central control panel of the nuclear power plant, the building of water treatment plant, inspected the construction of the NPP from the height of the observation platform, and also got acquainted with the work of the training center of the NPP.
After inspection of facilities of the nuclear power plant that were commissioned and under construction, a joint meeting of the commissions was held, attending the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Belarus V. Karankevich, the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus V. Vashchenko, the Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic A. Khudyk, Head of the Department of Emergency Situations for Nuclear and Radiation Safety O. Lugovskaya, General Director of the State Enterprise “Belarusian NPP” M. Filimonov.
