"As for Minister of Energy, you know what he's fired for, if the minister is unruly, if he gets drunk and does not come to work, what kind of minister is he?" - asked the head of state.
The president drew attention to the fact that the energy industry is a special one and very important for the country, Viktor Karankevich knows it well and understands these issues. "Take in it hand and work. You are a minister, others can only recommend, suggest. Even the prime minister cannot manage a minister - this is a collegial body. Only President can come and say: do it in such a way. But I do not come to any minister and I do not say this until I myself studied the problem, I did not agree with him, I did not agree with the specialists in the government," Alexander Lukashenko said.
He stressed that he always adhered to such approaches, including the development of Orsha district. However, the President's instructions were never implemented. "This is the last drop that overflowed the cup. The government was intolerably ill-performing. We could have fallen by the end of the year," the head of state said.
