In Belarus, June 22 is celebrated as a mournful date - the Day of National Remembrance of the Victims of the Great Patriotic War and the Genocide of the Belarusian People

Written by Department of information and public relations

Many decades have passed, but we carefully cherish in our hearts the memory of millions of innocent victims, the tragedy of the occupation and the fate of the liberating soldiers who defended peace at the cost of their lives. And the sacred duty of every Belarusian is to pass this mantle to the younger generation.

Representatives of Belarusian NPP on this day took part in the “Candle of Memory” event, arranged by the public association “Belarusian Republican Youth Union”, and a requiem meeting at the monument to Soviet soldiers and partisans.

During the campaign, they remembered those who defended their Motherland at the cost of their lives, all those who perished and died.

An All-Belarusian minute of silence was held in memory of the first day of the war!
