The event brought together 108 specialists from Russia, Belarus and Egypt. The conference featured 83 reports on various areas of activity in domestic and foreign nuclear power, including modeling, development and verification of software codes, extending the service life of NPPs with WWER and RBMK, using new types of fuel at WWER and BN, etc.

Young specialists from Belarusian NPP took an active part in the conference events.

Ilya Kuts, an engineer at the electrical shop of Belarusian NPP, presented a report entitled “Features of the operation of electrical equipment of Belarusian NPP from single-phase short circuits to “ground” in a network with a resistively grounded neutral” at the conference.

Ivan Mikhailyukovich, category 2 reactor plant physicist of the nuclear safety department, presented a report to conference participants entitled “The procedure for forming the values ​​of the AZ, PZ setpoints for the coolant temperature in the “hot” threads of the first circuit loops of power units No. 1 and 2 of Belarusian NPP.”

Yana Salkevich, category 2 reactor plant physicist of nuclear safety department, presented a report entitled “Analysis of the burnup of the boron-10 isotope in the coolant of the first circuit during the operation of fuel loads of power units No. 1 and No. 2 of Belarusian NPP.”

The presentations by Belarusian specialists were highly praised by the Conference’s program committee, which included heads of departments and experts from JSC OKB “Gidropress”.

The high assessment of the reports of young specialists of Belarusian NPP by the professional nuclear energy community is a clear indication of the effectiveness of the work on the formation of promising human resources potential at Belarusian NPP.

The conference has been held at JSC OKB "GIDROPRESS" since 1999 with the aim of supporting the desire of young specialists for professional growth, identifying the most promising, technically competent young employees. The conference is an important component of the systemic industry work to reveal the scientific and creative potential of modern youth of the State Corporation "Rosatom", attracting young people to work on modern innovative projects. The following statistics can serve as an illustration of the results of the Conferences: about 20% of the winners and participants of the conferences currently lead groups, and another 20% are currently senior managers of the enterprise.
